ORLANDO, Fla. — In less than a month, The 2025 Clean Show will open here at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC), bringing together self-service laundry owner/operators and other textile care professionals for four days of networking, education and professional development.
Each edition of Clean (known formally as the World Educational Congress for Laundering and Dry Cleaning) attracts all facets of the textile care industry: from single-owner coin-operated laundry and drycleaning establishments to giant industrial and institutional laundries and textile service companies.
Scheduled for Saturday, August 23, through Tuesday, August 26, in the West Hall of OCCC, it will be the first Clean Show since 2022 and return the event to its original every-other-year schedule moving forward.
“Orlando, as a destination city, is able to accommodate our show needs, and perhaps offer some extra incentives after the show that other cities do not have,” says Greg Jira, group show director for Messe Frankfurt Inc., based in Atlanta.
Orlando is one of the few U.S. convention destinations that can accommodate Clean’s need for steam service so exhibitors can demonstrate certain equipment during the show, he says. Las Vegas, New Orleans and Atlanta are the others.
“Also very interesting is the fact that because Orlando has so many hotels, the commercial laundry scene is something that’s ‘closer to home.’ The (partner) associations could do plant tours much easier in that area. It’s really geared to the commercial laundry aspect just because of the pure tourist volume size in the area. We’re very excited to be back.”
The show brings together leading manufacturers, suppliers and service providers from across the globe to showcase the latest equipment, products and technologies. With live demonstrations, a robust education program and unmatched networking opportunities, Clean is where industry professionals come to discover innovation, streamline operations, and build lasting business connections.
Exhibitors are gearing up to meet with potential buyers. There will be booths featuring 390-plus companies and organizations spread throughout the West Hall (the full exhibitor list can be found on the Clean Show website).
Attendees can expect to see and/or learn about:
- Machinery, systems and accessories for washing, cleaning, and other textile applications
- Financial and technology solutions
- Additives and chemicals
- Facility maintenance
- Logistics and material flow
- Energy-saving solutions and water technology
There will be more for attendees to take in this year, as the 2025 edition is lining up to occupy more exhibit space in Orlando than was used at 2022’s Atlanta stop.
Whereas the Georgia World Congress Center welcomed 347 exhibitors that occupied more than 180,000 square feet, Jira shared in June that 354 exhibitors would be making use of more than 210,000 square feet in Orlando. That exhibitor number has increased, meaning the size of the show floor has grown, too.
“I think it’s very exciting that we have 68 of what we call first-timers at the show,” he adds, meaning those exhibitors new to the event since 2017.
The four-day event begins at 8 a.m. EDT Saturday, Aug. 23, when only distributors will have access to the show floor and the first education sessions occur. Gates will open for everyone at 10 following a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony, and the show will run that day until 5 p.m.
Hours for the rest of the event are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday-Monday, Aug. 24-25, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
There will be complimentary shuttle buses running each morning along four routes from designated hotels to the OCCC West Building while Clean is in session (you can download the “Shuttle Schedule” under “Travel” on the show website’s main menu). Buses will run about every 15-20 minutes from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday and from 7:30 to 11 the other three days.
The schedule flips during the afternoons, with buses picking up passengers at the OCCC West Building every 15-20 minutes and stopping at designated points. Those shuttles will run from 3 to 6 p.m. the first three show days and from 1:30 to 4 on closing day.
Online registration for Clean 2025 remains available through Aug. 16 by visiting https://the-clean-show.us.messefrankfurt.com/us/en/attend.html. After that date, attendees must register on-site in Orlando and pay a higher price.
