Clean Show 2025: Learning Never Ends (Part 1)

Education sessions to cover hottest topics, greatest industry challenges

ORLANDO, Fla. — Roughly 26 hours of education sessions — all included with The Clean Show registration fee — will be spread over the event’s first three days here at the Orange County Convention Center. Plus, there will be a handful of other special networking opportunities, including a couple before Clean begins.

“Classroom” sessions are scheduled during the mornings of Aug. 23-25 in Level III meeting rooms in the West Concourse. CLA (formerly the Coin Laundry Association) also has planned Aug. 23-24 afternoon sessions in its show floor booth 3433.

Attendees are welcome to sit in on any education session they choose, regardless of industry segment or association affiliation. But note that some associations have scheduled certain members-only events requiring additional registration.

The early education/events schedule follows, with session descriptions provided by Messe Frankfurt:

Friday, Aug. 22

Noon-5 p.m. — CLA Tour of Four Different Laundromats (separate registration required), bus transportation provided, departing from Rosen Centre, 9840 International Dr.

5:30-7:30 p.m. — TRSA/CSCNetwork Clean Show Welcome Reception (member registration required), Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, 9101 International Dr.

Saturday, Aug. 23

7:15-8 a.m. — TRSA Leadership Breakfast, Room W203A-C.

8-8:45 a.m. — “Attracting the Social Media Generation,” Room W308, presented by Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI).

In today’s digital-first world, younger consumers turn to social media for nearly everything — from style tips to life hacks. So why not dry cleaning? This presentation will showcase DLI’s innovative social media program and its mission to education a younger demographic on the value of professional garment care.

8-8:55 a.m. — “Hygienically Clean, Clean Green and Health & Safety Certifications,” Room W303 A-C, presented by TRSA.

Learn more about TRSA’s facility, company, and individual certification programs. Gain insight into the inspection process, Quality Assurance manuals, and leveraging the value for a competitive advantage, especially with increased focus on hygiene and environmental sustainability, and employee training and retention.

8-9 a.m. — “Top Trends in the Laundry Industry,” Room W304 A-H, presented by CLA.

Some of the best and brightest in the industry will weigh in on the top trends, such as wash-dry-fold/pickup and delivery, advances in technology, and larger stores with more amenities.

8-10 a.m. — “Innovating Textile Care: Insights from a $10 Million Renovation Project,” Room W306 A-B/Room W307 A-B, presented by Association for Linen Management (ALM).

An in-depth presentation and panel discussion on the successful $10 million equipment and infrastructure renovation project at Textile Care Services is planned. Led by the company’s team, it will delve into the strategic planning and operational insights that made the project a success.

Representatives from Kannegiesser ETECH, Standard Textile, and Mayo Clinic will provide valuable perspectives on collaboration and partnership throughout the implementation process. Discover how this project not only enhances operational efficiency but also showcases technological advancements and innovative solutions to industry challenges.

9-9:45 a.m. — “The Client Journey,” Room W308, presented by DLI.

Learn the tools and tactics to surprise and delight clients using marketing channels that aren’t congested. Spot pain points and identify opportunities for magic moments while building a team that always puts clients front and center.

9-9:55 a.m. — “Advocacy: Expanding, Promoting and Protecting the Reusable Textile Industry Standards and Regulations,” Room W303 A-C, presented by TRSA.

Discuss the critical role of advocacy in shaping standards and regulations that impact the reusable textile industry, from promoting our industry’s commitment to environmental sustainability to regulatory initiatives such as extended producer responsibility (EPR), PFAS and microfiber filtration. Learn from front-line representatives in North America and Europe regarding current challenges, successful strategies, and opportunities to promote, expand and protect our industry and the importance of generating awareness and educating stakeholders such as policymakers and regulators.

9-10 a.m. — “Five Ways to Grow Residential Delivery & Commercial Accounts,” Room W304 A-H, presented by CLA.

This session will be split. Initially, attendees will hear from experienced operators sharing how to grow a residential pickup and delivery service. The session’s second half will focus on how to find and develop commercial accounts.

9-10 a.m. — “Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes (oh, my!): Creating Training Plans with Best Practice Frameworks,” Room W306 A-B/Room W307 A-B, presented by ALM.

Great training and development programs start with what a staff need, not just what they should know. Whether starting a program from scratch, or looking to refine an existing one, attendees will walk away from this session with the framework behind identifying training needs and leveraging various training deliveries to optimize staff learning.

Noon-2 p.m. — LaundryCares Foundation Luncheon (registration required), Room W304 A-H, presented by CLA.

2-3 p.m. — “Economic Outlook: What to Expect in 2025 and Beyond,” Booth 3433, presented by CLA.

Experienced economist Chris Kuehl will share his insights on the state of the economy; his forecast for the year to come — and what small-business owners need to know for navigating the economy to come.

3-5 p.m. — The Clean Scene – Member Reception (registration required), Booth 2759, presented by ALM.

3:30-4:30 p.m. — “Generational Fluency,” Booth 3433, presented by CLA.

In this foundational and lively keynote, Jessica Stollings will use theoretical, historical and practical insights to present a high-level view of the generations in the workforce and how to bring them together for greater understanding – and more effective working relationships.
