Clean Show 2025: Learning Never Ends (Part 2)

Innovation, business growth at heart of education sessions

ORLANDO, Fla. — Roughly 26 hours of education sessions — all included with The Clean Show registration fee — will be spread over the event’s first three days here at the Orange County Convention Center. Plus, there will be a handful of other special networking opportunities, including a couple before Clean begins.

“Classroom” sessions are scheduled during the mornings of Aug. 23-25 in Level III meeting rooms in the West Concourse. CLA (formerly the Coin Laundry Association) also has planned Aug. 23-24 afternoon sessions in its show floor booth 3433.

Attendees are welcome to sit in on any education session they choose, regardless of industry segment or association affiliation. But note that some associations have scheduled certain members-only events requiring additional registration.

The Sunday, Aug. 24, education/events schedule follows:

7:15-8 a.m. — Global Textile Services Breakfast (invitation only), Room W203 A-C, presented by TRSA.

8-8:45 a.m. — “The Only Option at Any Price,” Room W308, presented by DLI.

Discover how to position a drycleaning business as the top choice for customers — regardless of price. In this insightful seminar, a successful business owner will share proven strategies for standing out in a competitive market. Learn how to deliver exceptional service, build customer loyalty, and create a value-driven brand that makes price comparisons irrelevant. 8-8:55 a.m. — “Global Linen, Uniform/Workwear, and Facility Services Industry Recovery, Trends, and Expansion Opportunities,” Room W303 A-C, presented by TRSA.

This panel discussion of linen, uniform, and facility services global CEOs and national association executives will offer updates on ongoing initiatives on circular economy/sustainability, textile recycling, and research, as well as promotional activities and regulatory updates. Gain insight into how textile services companies are leveraging increased interest in hygiene, and environmental and supply chain sustainability to differentiate and grow their customer base. Understand principles that limit and facilitate revenue-generation and cost-control strategies as panelists present short profiles of the industry in various geographic markets.

8-9 a.m. — “Engineering Experience: Insights from Maintenance Experts in the Laundry and Linen Industry,” Room W306 A-B/Room W307 A-B, presented by ALM.

This insightful panel discussion will feature industry experts and equipment manufacturers in the laundry and linen sector. It will focus on the critical role of engineering and maintenance in optimizing operational efficiency and ensuring equipment longevity. Panelists will share their experiences, best practices, and innovative solutions to common challenges faced in the industry.

8-9 a.m. — “From Errors to Insights: Leveraging Mistakes for Business Success,” Room W304 A-H, presented by CLA.

Making mistakes is part of the learning process and everyone does it, even experienced members of CLA’s board of directors. Board members will share the mistakes they’ve made (both as newbies and as established operators) — and how they’ve overcome them and created solutions.

9-9:45 a.m. — “Innovation in Out-of-Home Laundry,” Room W308, presented by DLI.

Andy Gibson, CEO of Tide Services, will highlight how innovation is reshaping the industry, Tide Cleaners, and Tide Laundromats. Hear new ways to understand guests and their changing value proposition, to meeting their demands with technology and understanding their continually evolving relationship with clothing. This forward-looking session offers insights into shifting consumer behavior in 2025 — and, most importantly, what can be done about it. This is a must-attend session for anyone looking to lead, not lag, in the next era of out-of-home laundry.

9-10 a.m. — “Innovation, Automating and Digitization: What’s New and Important on the Clean Show Floor,” Room W303 A-C, presented by TRSA.

Gain expert recommendations regarding the “must-see” cutting-edge technologies and automation solutions revolutionizing the industry, including digital resources and innovations that enhance productivity, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. Industry veterans will have researched and walked the show floor to help attendees make the best use of their time and discover advancements shaping the future of textile care.

9-10 a.m. — “From Tradition to Innovation: A Generational Shift in Laundromats,” Room W304 A-H, presented by CLA.

This session will bring together industry veterans with a younger generation of owners to demonstrate different perspectives. What’s different? What’s the same? What can each generation learn from the other?

9-10 a.m. — “Maximizing Efficiency: Bagging and Stacking Systems & the Benefits of UV in Laundry Processing,” Room W306 A-B/Room W307 A-B, presented by ALM.

Explore how innovative bagging and stacking systems, combined with the advantages of ultraviolet (UV) technology, can significantly enhance productivity in laundry processing. This session will provide insights into the operational benefits of these systems, from improved workflow efficiency to reduced labor costs. 3-5 p.m. — Wine Down & Unwind: Day 2, Booth 2759, presented by ALM.

3:30-4:30 p.m. — “How to Start & Grow a Commercial Laundry Service,” Booth 3433, presented by CLA.
