NORTH KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The move was only a short distance—“just a few blocks,” according to company President Bill Kimmel—but the impact on commercial laundry equipment distributor RJ Kool has been more sizable, for sure.
In November, the company relocated to 621 E. 14th Ave. here in North Kansas City.
“We went from a 19,500-square-foot warehouse/office to 52,000 square feet,” Kimmel tells American Coin-Op. “We were simply out of space. We needed additional offices and warehouse storage.”
RJ Kool houses 24 employees in Kansas City, which is its headquarters, and no longer needs a secondary, off-site location. The new site doubles its available space and includes a dedicated training room.
“It is great to have everything under one roof again,” says Kimmel. “It will allow for additional growth and expansion.”
RJ Kool also has locations in St. Louis and Springfield, Missouri; Omaha, Nebraska; Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota.
