IRVING, Texas — The Southwest Drycleaners Association (SDA) will host the Cleaners Showcase 2023 here in April at the Irving Convention Center, and the event will include a component of special interest to coin laundry owners of the region.
Conference registration and housing are open for the April 28-30 event. Registration is free for SDA, Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) or Coin Laundry Association (CLA) members; they must contact the SDA for a needed special promo code. Non-members are welcome either pre-registered or at the door for a fee.
“We are thrilled to host the only drycleaning and laundry equipment show in the United States this year,” says Showcase Chairman Amin Bata. “Along with a trade show, our speaker lineup and live demonstrations provide something for everyone.”
Multi-generational labor expert Jeff Butler will present “Winning the Talent War” as keynote speaker. He is a TEDx speaker on workplace dynamics issues and has addressed more than 100 organizations internationally, including Google and Amazon. He’s the author of “The Authentic Workplace: How Authenticity is Creating the Workplace of Tomorrow.”
Andrew Gibson, president/CEO of Tide Services, will expound on consumer trends. Other scheduled speakers include Dave Coyle of Maverick Drycleaners, Kermit Engh of Methods for Management, James Peuster and Jen Whitmarsh of The Route Pros, and attorney Frank Kollman, whose law firm represents DLI.
In conjunction with the Showcase, there will be a CLA Connect LIVE event from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 28. All attendees are invited to join CLA for light appetizers and networking prior to the show; registration information and more event details can be found at www.coinlaundry.org/events.
Special hotel rates at the Westin Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas are available through April 4 for conference attendees and exhibitors.
