NoScrubs Launches Its Laundry Service in Los Angeles

This expansion is key step in its growth strategy, company says

LOS ANGELES — Technology-driven laundry service NoScrubs officially launched here last week in an expansion poised to transform household chore management for the city’s nearly 4 million residents.

The strategic launch directly addresses the significant time burden of laundry on Angelenos. Recent analysis, based on the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) American Time Use Survey, estimates that LA residents collectively spend approximately 202 million hours annually on laundry-related activities.

“Los Angeles is a city of relentless motion, where every minute counts, whether you’re commuting, working in the creative industry, or pursuing a healthy lifestyle,” says NoScrubs CEO and co-founder Matt O’Connor. “Our mission is simple: to make laundry a bygone chore. With our same-day service, competitive pricing, and commitment to quality, we are not just washing clothes; we are freeing up millions of hours of collective time for Angelenos to spend on their passions, careers, and families.”

O’Connor’s company has built a technology platform to manage everything from customer scheduling to delivery logistics, while its trained “Scrubbers” wash, dry, fold and pack orders at partner laundromats within the service area.

NoScrubs already operates in Austin, Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, as well as Miami, and considers its LA expansion a key step in its national growth strategy.

Founded in 2024, NoScrubs has raised over $4 million in funding from Initialized Capital to fund its expansion efforts and deepen its proprietary logistics tech.
