LONG BEACH, Calif. — The inaugural Curbside.2024 Conference — organized by Curbside Laundries, a provider of point of sale and wash-dry-fold pickup and delivery solutions — drew an attendance of more than 180, the company reports.
The paid conference in late June was open to anyone who wanted to start or grow their WDF and laundry pickup and delivery business. Speakers who work in the laundry business shared their expertise on how to attract new customers, win commercial accounts, enhance one’s online reputation, drive more website traffic, increase order sizes/ordering frequency, utlize online advertising techniques, and use touch points to enhance one’s brand.
“The event was phenomenal,” says Maryyanna Faulker of Prime Ventures. “They gave tactile items and tasks to work on to grow your business at any stage.”
“The speakers went in depth and behind the scenes into their operations and showed us strategies and tactics that they’ve been using to be successful that we can take home and implement into our businesses,” adds Waleed Cope of The Soap Box.
Stephanie Staley from We Wash credited Curbside founders Matt and Aaron Simmons with making “a difference in our lives. They are making this industry what it is, the podcasts, the conference, bringing talented, nice people together. The conference was a lot of fun.”
Plans are to host future Curbside Conferences every two years, during the Clean Show’s off years.
“Our company ethos is to provide top-notch laundromat software and also to help elevate the industry through education,” says Matt Simmons. “We have so many successful clients who are putting their own spin on laundry pickup and delivery and we wanted to provide a platform to share their experience with other laundry owners.”
