Update Your Minimum Wage Posters

WASHINGTON — With the federal minimum wage due to increase next week, the U.S. Department of Labor reminds every employer of employees subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act that the minimum-wage provisions must be posted in their workplace at all times.The $5.15-per-hour federal minimum wage increases to $5.85 on July 24. It will increase to $6.55 on July 24, 2008, and to $7.25 on July 24, 2009.A notice explaining the Act must be posted in a conspicuous place so that employees can readily read it, the Department of Labor says.It has created a minimum wage poster for informational purposes or for employers to use as posters. Color or black-and-white versions of varying sizes can be downloaded online at www.dol.gov/esa/regs/compliance/posters/flsa.htm
