Mountain Electronics Rebuilding After Hurricane Helene

Company has space in another NC community to restore operations

BURNSVILLE, N.C. — The devastation caused by Hurricane Helene across the Southeast is still being assessed but count Mountain Electronics, a remanufacturer of commercial laundry equipment, among its property damage victims.

“There is no easy way to communicate that Hurricane Helene has completely destroyed our facility in Burnsville,” the company posted on its website and asked American Coin-Op to help alert the industry. “We are fortunate to have space in Marion, North Carolina, to rebuild operations."

Marion is roughly 35 miles southeast of Burnsville.

“One thing we know about our Mountain employees and Western North Carolina is that we are strong and resilient and are confident in our ability to rebuild,” the business says.

It intends to have working phones and internet access this week.

“Please keep our community and employees who have lost much in your thoughts and prayers,” Mountain Electronics continues. “We are fortunate to know that 100% of our employees are safe at this time. Our No. 1 priority is making sure the needs of our employees are met. Please be patient with us as we move forward.”
