TexCare 2007 Set for This Weekend

SECAUCUS, N.J. — TexCare 2007, the Northeast’s largest drycleaning and coin laundry show, is almost sold out, the National Cleaners Association (NCA) says. Coming to the Meadowlands Exposition Center, Secaucus, N.J., on Oct. 20-21, the two-day exposition has been expanded to further meet the needs of coin laundry owners and their providers. Coin laundry owners and drycleaners will receive free admission to the show floor and seminars.“This year’s show has a bigger and better response than TexCare 2005, which welcomed almost 3,000 attendees and 200 exhibitors,” says Ann Hargrove, NCA’s special projects director. “Nearly 90% of the booths are already sold out. The drycleaning and laundry industry’s biggest equipment distributors and solution suppliers will be hosting breathtaking live demonstrations of the newest equipment and process improvements.”Exhibition hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.Attendees can also take in a host of educational sessions at no cost. The sessions will cover marketing, leases, and drycleaning topics such as dealing with problem garments and future regulatory initiatives concerning existing and new drycleaners in the state.On Friday, Oct. 19, Jason Loeb, owner of Sudsies.com in South Florida, will conduct a full-day seminar and workshop on how to build a money-making pick-up and delivery business and successful drycleaning brand. Loeb will share his proven recipe for success, revealing how he combined branding, marketing and Web site tools to grow his laundry and drycleaning operation from nothing into a multi-million dollar delivery enterprise. Tickets for this special, pre-show event are limited and sell for $495 per seat. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Contact Vivian Benn at NCA at 212-967-3002.If you’re feeling lucky during the show, NCA is hosting “Night at the Race” on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m. at the Pegasus East Restaurant at the Meadowlands Racetrack. It’s just minutes from the Meadowlands Center. The cost of the event, including buffet dinner, racetrack admission, and a program, is $65 per person. Reservations are required and space is limited.
