Statewide Laundry Wraps Up 2018 Improvement Expos

Panel discussions new addition to annual meeting series

TAMPA, Fla. — Commercial laundry equipment distributor Statewide Laundry Equipment, with offices in Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando and Miami, recently completed its three-day series of Laundry Improvement Expos, the company reports.

The Expos series kicked off Sept. 18 in Kissimmee at an all-new venue, the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center, and concluded Sept. 26 at Statewide’s South Florida headquarters in Hialeah, just outside Miami.

Industry leaders presented what’s new in the self-service laundry industry, including information about Speed Queen Insights and Quantum® equipment.

Customers were able to meet with these leaders during a vendor crawl on all three days. Hands-on service seminars educated attendees on industry trends and equipment. Michael Sokolowski, Coin Laundry Association chief operating officer, and Tom Weisheipl, Speed Queen regional sales manager, were among the notable guest speakers.

“Our goal for the Expo is to provide laundry owners with tangible information that they can use to improve their business and profitability,” says David Chadsey, vice president of Statewide Laundry Equipment. “Our staff was supported by the leading equipment and technology representatives in the industry, and by all accounts we delivered. Jim Rogers has been producing this event for more than 20 years and it just keeps getting better.”

New to this year’s events were panel discussions during which attendees could interact with other laundry owners. Special financing, as well as discounts on soap and parts, were also available during the shows.

“The excitement, the magnificent venue, and the attendance was the best ever,” Rogers says of this year’s series.

Statewide stages the Laundry Improvement Expos each fall in central and south Florida to benefit the laundry owner community across the state.
