GREEN BROOK, N.J. — Commercial laundry supplier SEBCO Laundry Systems, which started with one man and a few pieces of laundry equipment, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Originally operating from a single location in The Bronx, N.Y., the company now provides Maytag® Commercial Laundry equipment to apartments, condos, co-ops, military installations, and college and university laundries in nine states along the East Coast. As part of the 40th anniversary celebration, SEBCO Laundry Systems acquired a 250,000-square-foot industrial complex in Raritan, N.J., and will soon be moving into the facility. The new location provides the company with ample corporate office space, a parts distribution area and a warehouse. SEBCO has incorporated a number of environmentally friendly features into the building, including solar panels and energy management controls for monitoring the heating and cooling systems. Owning the complex also allows for SEBCO Laundry Systems' future growth. “Our decision to upgrade from our current Green Brook facilities is a direct result of the company’s growth,” says Steve Breitman, founder and CEO of SEBCO Laundry Systems. “We’ve provided reliable service and quality products to our customers for 40 years, and our new facility further demonstrates our dedication to the success of servicing our laundry customers.”
