MANDEVILLE, La. — Pierce Commercial Laundry Distributors LLC, a Maytag Commercial Laundry distributor, recently broke ground on a new, 14,000-square-foot facility in Mandeville, La., to accommodate business growth and to help the company provide faster customer service.“With the larger facility, space is no longer an issue, and we can keep pace with our growing customer base,” says George Pierce, owner of Pierce Commercial. “Our new location puts us in a more centralized location to make operations run faster and smoother.”The new facility, scheduled to open later this year, will feature an equipment lab for testing new models and making in-house repairs, as well as an expanded inventory of parts to better equip service staff, in addition to a wider variety of Maytag equipment.Pierce designed the facility himself, utilizing his background in customizing laundry facilities using architectural software.“George takes his customers’ needs seriously, which is why he received architectural training — to personally design laundry floor plans based on the location and the complexity of the laundry operation,” says Craig Kirchner, global director of Maytag Commercial Laundry. “With these skills, who better to design the facility than the one who knows his business best?”Established in 1993 in the New Orleans area, Pierce Commercial has expanded to cover Louisiana, Mississippi, and parts of Alabama and Florida.
