Maytag Expands Product Offering in Asia Pacific

Celebrates deployment of Multi-Load Washers at Singapore’s Wonderwash

SHANGHAI — During Texcare Asia & China Laundry Expo, an international textile care trade fair staged here last month, Maytag® Commercial Laundry announced its investment in the expansion of commercial laundry products and programs that support investors in Asia Pacific.

The brand also celebrated the installation of Maytag Multi-Load Washers in Wonderwash in Singapore.

With products and support programs from Maytag, entrepreneurs and small businesses can gain access to turnkey services, solutions and innovation across the region, where the demand to build self-service Laundromats is growing rapidly, the brand says. According to Nielsen data, 67% of people do laundry two times per week and 31% of people do their laundry every day. In Asia, many households lack a clothes dryer or even a washing machine that can accommodate large loads.

With more than 40 outlets across Singapore, Wonderwash is a self-service wash and dry laundry operator whose unattended locations are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Wonderwash is the Laundromat brand of Silkare PTE Ltd., a distributor that operates more than 100 Laundromats in the region.
