Mac-Gray Wins Top Maytag Honor

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. — Mac-Gray Corp. of Waltham, Mass., won the Fred Maytag Award at Maytag Commercial Laundry’s 51st annual meeting in Bonita Springs, Fla. The Fred Maytag Award, which recognizes a Maytag Commercial Laundry distributor for outstanding achievements and remarkable performance, is the longest-running award in the commercial laundry industry, Maytag says.“Maytag Commercial Laundry is honored to be able to recognize Mac-Gray for its dedication to the Maytag brand and contribution to our every effort,” says Craig Kirchner, director of global commercial laundry at Whirlpool Corp., Maytag’s parent company. “In addition to continual brand support, for the past two years Mac-Gray has developed investment seminars geared toward building long-lasting relationships with high-end investors resulting in several multi-store projects and increased distribution.”Mac-Gray has won the award seven times — more than any other company.“By supporting the Maytag brand and providing high-quality customer service, Mac-Gray continues to excel in the commercial laundry industry,” says Phil Emma, executive vice president at Mac-Gray. “We manage more than 80,000 laundry rooms in 43 states, and the Maytag brand has been with us every step of the way.”
