Laundrylux Goes After Route Laundry Business

INWOOD, N.Y. — Laundrylux has announced plans to introduce a stacked washer and dryer and stacked dryers, developed specifically for the route laundry market.“The market has responded enthusiastically to our announced January 2011 entry into the route laundry equipment market, and both Maytag and Speed Queen route operators have emphasized their desire for Laundrylux to provide stacked product configurations in addition to stand-alone route washers and dryers,” says Neal Milch, CEO of Laundrylux.“We fully intend to supply all their product configuration requirements in 2011, and we reaffirm our goal of 50% market share by the end of 2011.”A complete route product line will accelerate sales of Electrolux professional and Wascomat commercial laundry equipment, since distributors require a comprehensive portfolio of products for all market segments, Milch adds.Milch says Laundrylux will be the industry's premier provider of economic solutions for coin-op self-service, OPL (on-premise laundries for hotels, health care, and other facilities), and route apartment laundries.Earlier this year, Bermil Industries Corp., which distributed the Wascomat and Electrolux brands of commercial laundry equipment in North America, unified its equipment offerings under the Laundrylux trade name for purposes of marketing, advertising and communications. For more information on the Laundrylux name change, please see our story, Wascomat/Electrolux Distributor Adopts Laundrylux Trade Name, from April 27, 2010.
