LaundryCares Foundation Set to Host Free Laundry Days

Supports mission to aid childhood literacy, provide basic need of clean clothes

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. — The LaundryCares Foundation will host a series of Free Laundry Days in the next few weeks, the Coin Laundry Association (CLA) reports, in support of its mission to aid childhood literacy and provide the basic need of clean clothes to a community.

The upcoming events featuring free laundry and educational activities will be:

Free Laundry Days represent an industrywide effort to give back to underserved areas that support laundry businesses, CLA says.

“Everyone needs clean clothes and linens, but they may not always be available, particularly after a disaster as Houston has experienced,” says CLA President Brian Wallace. “LaundryCares’ Free Laundry Days aim to be positive, uplifting events. In addition to free laundry, we give away children’s books and educational activities that families can take home to carry forward the experience. Both our volunteers and the people we serve feel truly rewarded.”
