LaundryCares Foundation Plans Free Laundry Day July 28

Baltimore’s Laundry City to host charity event

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. — The LaundryCares Foundation will host a Free Laundry Day in Baltimore on July 28 in what has been billed as a “family-friendly and fun afternoon of free laundry.”

Laundry City, 5200 Moravia Blvd., will host the 1-5 p.m. event to which all are invited.

Hundreds of loads of laundry are completed during each Free Laundry Day, the Foundation says, and this month’s event should be no exception.

LaundryCares is a charitable organization created by the Coin Laundry Association (CLA).

“Free laundry days are the highlight of what LaundryCares does each and every year,” says CLA President Brian Wallace. “The impact a single load of laundry can make on a family isn’t lost to us, and it’s humbling to see the good it does in a community. Our goal is to continue to host free laundry days and reach more families in need across the nation.”

Anyone interested in giving back to their community is asked by CLA to consider participating in the form of a tax-deductible, charitable donation to LaundryCares.

For information on how to donate, visit the donation page on EventBrite.
