FORT WORTH, Texas — Laundry Capital, a New York company made up of the Laundromax and Clean Rite laundromat brands, reports the first Laundromax location in Texas is opening to the public today.
Laundromax, which says it specializes in “high-amenity laundromats,” has opened at 3407 Sycamore School Road here in far southwest Fort Worth. The location opened its doors in November and last week hosted a soft grand opening, kicking off its community partnership program with events benefiting its inaugural local partners Harmony Science Academy, Lena Pope’s Chapel Hill Academy, and HOPE Farm.
Laundromax says it pioneered the laundry superstore concept in 1996 and is now the largest chain of retail laundromats in the country with more than 80 locations throughout New England and, now, Texas.
“If you’re used to the typical laundromat, you’re going to be amazed when you walk through our doors,” says Dale Turner, operator of the new Fort Worth location. “At Laundromax, we are proud to offer our customers a next-level laundry experience.”
Each bright, clean Laundromat location features 100-plus state-of-the-art, large-capacity washers and dryers (with some models capable of processing 100 pounds). The machines are card-operated, so customers don’t need to load up on coins or cash before laundry day. Open spaces are equipped with ample laundry carts and folding tables, and laundry detergent and other supplies are available to buy.
Laundromax also offers free high-speed Wi-Fi; plug-in areas to charge laptops or phones; background music; vending machines; comfortable lounge areas; free parking; and 24-hour locations equipped with security cameras, door access controls and friendly, alert attendants.
“We know that laundry can be a chore,” says Turner. “But we can make the time you spend in our laundromat as seamless as possible with your life. For instance, with our 24-hour locations, you’ll never have to upend your schedule to avoid missing ‘the last wash’ in the evening. We’re there at your convenience, whenever you need us.
“And of course, we take safety seriously. We want the mom that’s washing the family clothes to feel comfortable, even late at night. At our new location, we’re providing the newest machines with the best technology, and attendants that cater to our customers and don’t just sit behind the counter. Our clients deserve a premium experience and luxury offerings, and we’re proud to bring this level of service to Fort Worth.”
