Equipment Maker Milnor Weathers Hurricane Ida

Factory sustains ‘very minor’ storm damage

KENNER, La. — The facilities of commercial laundry equipment manufacturer Pellerin Milnor Corp. “are in good shape” following Hurricane Ida, the company reports. Milnor issued a statement on Wednesday.

“Following Hurricane Ida, which made landfall in Southeast Louisiana on Sunday, August 29, 2021, we are grateful to report that Milnor facilities are in good shape. Our factory sustained very minor damage, including a few fences knocked down. We initiated our business continuity plan on Monday, August 30. Our computer systems, email and phone system have been operational during the storm and continue to operate at this time.”

When the statement was issued, Milnor was waiting on water and electrical service to resume, and was anticipating that parts order fulfillment would resume within two days: “We are actively working with logistic companies to resume shipments of orders.”

Meanwhile, Milnor’s dealer network across North America and the world was in full operation to provide technical support and make available inventory of spare parts.

Milnor is asking customers needing immediate assistance or with questions to email [email protected].
