STOCKHOLM — AB Electrolux reports that it has appointed Anna Ohlsson-Leijon, chief financial officer of the business area Major Appliances Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), as the company’s new CFO, and appointed Ola Nilsson, head of the laundry product line within Major Appliances EMEA, as new head of the Small Appliances business area and an executive vice president.

Ohlsson-Leijon succeeds Tomas Eliasson, who is leaving the company to pursue an external opportunity. Nilsson succeeds Henrik Bergström, who will work on special assignment reporting to the CEO.

Nilsson’s appointment is effective March 1 and Ohlsson-Leijon’s April 1. They will both be members of Group Management, reporting to President/CEO Jonas Samuelson.

“Anna will be an excellent addition to Group Management, with long experience from financial functions throughout Electrolux,” Samuelson says. “As CFO of Major Appliances EMEA, she has been responsible for driving the strategic agenda and was a key contributor to the earnings improvement of the business area.

“I am very pleased to present Ola as our new head of Small Appliances. He has a very good track record from running Small Appliances in Asia-Pacific and most recently successfully led the turn-around of our laundry business in EMEA. I also want to thank Henrik for his valuable contributions in his current role and look forward to continue working with him.”

She was appointed CFO of Major Appliances EMEA in 2013. She has a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Linköping, Sweden.

Swedish citizen Nilsson joined Electrolux in 1994 and held positions in various group functions before moving to Asia-Pacific to eventually become CFO and later managing director of Small Appliances in Australia. From 2003, he held management positions in Small Appliances based in Stockholm, and was appointed president Asia-Pacific within the Small Appliances business area in 2008. Nilsson took up his present position in 2012. He has a master of science degree in international business administration from the University of Lund, Sweden.
