SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. — Commercial laundry equipment distributor Continental Girbau West recently hired Efrain Munoz as technical support and service manager and Hilario Valdovinos as service technician.
“We are thrilled to have Efrain and Hilario as part of the CG West team,” says Tod Sorensen, CG West vice president. “Efrain has been affiliated with us for a number of years and we rely on him greatly to provide expert technical help to our customers and distributors in the field. Hilario will report directly to Efrain and provide additional field support.”
Munoz, of Pinon Hills, Calif., will provide expert technical field support relative to product installations and service for CG West. He will also assist with customer training and product education.
Munoz was born in Costa Rica, where he attended Colegio Vocacional Monsenor Sanabria on electromagnetism and residential and industrial electricity. He served the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad for 10 years, and during that time, became among the first 16 technicians in the country to specialize in digital telecommunication installations.
He holds more than 3,000 hours of trade training in Panama, Mexico, Costa Rica, France, Sweden and Brazil as part of the modernization of the Central American infrastructure. Since 2013, he’s served CG West in one capacity or another – handling and inspecting vended laundry installations and developing installation training programs for vended laundry owners and technicians.
Valdovinos, of Los Angeles, has several years of experience repairing and installing commercial laundry equipment. He will perform equipment installations and service vended and on-premise laundry equipment, as well as help customers and staff with technical assistance, product information and installation estimates.
CG West, a subsidiary of Continental Girbau, serves the Southern California vended, on-premise and industrial laundry markets by providing equipment, parts, financing, service, warranty and training.
