On-Demand Laundry Service Expands to South-Central California

Brooklyn-based WashClub now serving customers in Bakersfield

NEW YORK — On-demand laundry, drycleaning and tailoring service WashClub reports that it has officially launched its service offerings for consumers and businesses in Bakersfield, Calif.

The city was chosen for the company’s next local-market launch based on research indicating that the community’s growing population includes “many time-strapped individuals,” WashClub says.

Greg and Cara Williams are co-operating WashClub Bakersfield.

WashClub’s service is powered by a mobile app or available by booking a pick-up via the company’s Californian website (www.washclubbak.com). Users can request a pick-up in any location within the Bakersfield area, and receive their cleaned, neatly folded laundry and dry cleaning in 24-48 hours.

WashClub’s ongoing commitment to hiring local full-time employees, not contractors, in all of its markets will simultaneously ensure quality service and better benefit the local community’s economy, the company says.

“The Bakersfield area presents a significant opportunity for WashClub to help busy professionals and companies who create large amounts of daily laundry and dry cleaning,” says Rick Rome, founder and president of WashClub. “Our services allow consumers and businesses to save time and money while we do the ‘dirty work’ they can now easily avoid.”

“Launching our newest WashClub business in Bakersfield is a great opportunity for the city’s residents and businesses to save valuable time and money by letting us handle their laundry and dry cleaning,” adds Greg Williams, WashClub Bakersfield co-operator.

WashClub licenses its proprietary software to brick-and-mortar laundry and drycleaning operators across the United States who are looking to offer on-demand laundry and drycleaning services to its customers via WashClub or their own branded concept.

WashClub is now available in 12 states and four New York City boroughs, relying solely on W2 employees to service 25,000-plus customers. The company plans to expand internationally as well as continue to strengthen its domestic presence.
