PLAINVIEW, N.Y. — The board of directors for CSC ServiceWorks, which provides commercial laundry solutions to the multi-family housing and education markets, has appointed Mark Hjelle as chief executive officer and a member of the board, effective immediately.
Most recently, Hjelle served as president of Brickman/ValleyCrest (recently rebranded BrightView), a $2 billion annual revenue business, where he led a team of more than 20,000 team members in 35 states with 250 branch offices delivering landscaping and other exterior services to clients.
Over the course of his 18-year tenure at Brickman, Hjelle held numerous leadership positions in the areas of operations, finance and business development.

Hjelle earned a bachelor of science degree in economics from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, and a law degree from the Case Western Reserve School of law. He serves on the board of directors of Valet Waste, a national provider of amenity services to the multi-family housing industry.
