Clean Show Nears

LAS VEGAS — The Clean Show, the world's premier exhibition for the textile care industry, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. The show is also right around the corner.Clean ’07 is slated for June 11-14 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas. Clean Show organizer Riddle & Associates says reservations, at discount rates, can now be made for the official hotels. The hotel rates range from $89 to $209 per night, the firm says, and all are within easy distance of the Convention Center on foot or by shuttle. Each of Clean's six sponsoring associations has picked a headquarters: the International Fabricare Association (IFI), the Planet Hollywood Resort; the Coin Laundry Association (CLA), Harrah's; the National Association of Institutional Linen Management (NAILM); Paris; and the Textile Care Allied Trades Association (TCATA), Textile Rental Services Association of America (TRSA), and Uniform & Textile Service Association (UTSA), the Las Vegas Hilton.Bally's, Flamingo, Riviera and Wynn hotels are also featured in the show's hotel package. Reservations for all Clean ’07 hotels must be made through the Clean ’07 Housing Bureau to receive special rates. Attendees should not call hotels directly since the show's room quotas are assigned to the Housing Bureau.A new logo has also been introduced for this anniversary show replacing the familiar purple and yellow logo used since 1992. The design has a fluid look and softer colors of blue and green reflecting the liquid water and chemicals used in the textile care processes. It retains the familiar circular form used in the previous logo, but in a more subtle and current way.Over the years, the biennial show was held in Chicago four times, Atlanta twice, New Orleans three times, Dallas once, Las Vegas three times and Orland twice. As the show has grown into the largest industry show in the world, however, only Las Vegas, New Orleans and Orlando currently have enough space coupled with the capability of providing steam for live demonstrations to accommodate the show, Riddle & Associates says. For more information, visit the Clean ’07 web site at www.cleanshow.com
