OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. — The Coin Laundry Association (CLA) will host its second biennial Excellence in Laundry Conference May 14-15 at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Fla., the association reports.
Launched in 2012, the Excellence in Laundry Conference features educational sessions, networking opportunities and exhibits, with the goal of helping self-service laundry owners improve and grow their business.
“We had such an overwhelmingly positive response after the first Excellence conference in 2012 [that] we realized this needed to be a recurring event to help Laundromat owners take their businesses to the next level,” says Brian Wallace, CLA president and CEO. “There’s no other event in the laundry industry where you’ll be able to network with the very best in the business and learn tried-and-true strategies from some of the country’s leading business authorities.”
Speakers attending this year’s conference will include branding professional Bruce Turkel, CEO of Turkel Brands; business strategist Chuck Bamford, Ph.D., founder of Bamford Associates; and legislative analyst Joe Crosby of MultiState Associates, according to the CLA.
In addition to the educational sessions, laundry professionals will be treated to a welcome reception on May 13, a dinner gala May 14 and a beach party May 15.
