NEW ORLEANS — Coin Laundry Association (CLA) President and CEO Brian Wallace kicked off Clean 2013 by highlighting industry trends in an educational session titled Coin Laundry Trends in 2013.
Wallace explained that, although those in the coin laundry industry were facing tougher economic times the last time they convened in the Crescent City for Clean 2009, now, “people have a renewed confidence.”
Among some of the trends and “measures of confidence” Wallace and CLA have noticed in store owners is that new laundry construction is rebounding, and that store owners are investing more in not only marketing and advertising, but also in equipment replacement.
Storeowners and manufacturers alike are experiencing this positive trend. “New laundry equipment introductions are at an all-time high,” Wallace said. “Nearly all manufacturers have introduced new [models, controls and capacities].”
