CLA Finalizes Schedule for Excellence in Laundry Conference

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. — The Coin Laundry Association (CLA) has finalized the schedule for its second biennial Excellence in Laundry Conference, slated for May 14-15 at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Fla.

“One of the many reasons this is a special conference is because of all the practical applications that Laundromat owners gain at the event,” says Brian Wallace, CLA president and CEO. “They’re exposed to best business practices and proven techniques—laundry owners can go home and immediately implement things they’ve learned, and that’s going to impact their bottom line.”

The CLA says it has lined up more than five hours of educational programming, with this year’s keynote speakers to include branding expert Bruce Turkel, CEO of Turkel Brands; business strategy expert Chuck Bamford, Ph.D., founder of Bamford Associates; and legislative analyst Joe Crosby of MultiState Associates.

This year’s educational sessions include 7 Steps to Building Brand Value; Laundry Branding Case Studies & Critiques; Finding the Real Competitive Advantage in Your Business; Legislative Update for Laundry Owners; and Futurecast – Where’s the Industry Headed?

Wallace also recognized the efforts and contributions of distributors and manufacturers that “continue to support the CLA’s mission of providing superior education and networking opportunities to today’s self-service laundry owners.”

A reception on the evening of May 13 is set to welcome attendees, while a “farewell” beach party will cap the events May 15, according to the CLA.
