Alliance Laundry Systems Reaches New Pact with Steelworkers

Five-year deal includes wage increases, enhanced benefits

RIPON, Wis. — Commercial laundry equipment manufacturer Alliance Laundry Systems and United Steelworkers (USW) Local 1327 have reached agreement on a new contract, effective Jan. 1. USW members voted to approve the contract earlier this month.

The new five-year agreement covers 1,750 hourly team members at Alliance’s Ripon and Manitowoc, Wisconsin, locations. It guarantees 2.5% wage increases each year for the length of the contract as well as cost of living adjustments. Team members will also see enhanced vacation and health and wellness benefits.

“Our members work hard to make a quality product,” says Jim Reinsbach, president, USW Local 1327. “This contract recognizes that hard work and ensures our members will continue to earn the wages and benefits that are so important to them and their families.”

“We appreciate the partnership of USW as we work together to ensure our team members have the resources they need for success,” says Brad Nye, vice president of North America operations for Alliance, whose equipment brands include Speed Queen, Huebsch and UniMac. “Alliance continues to be a top-paying employer in this marketplace, and we are looking forward to this team’s continued success.”
