Alliance Laundry Earns Manufacturer of Year Award, Completes Primus Acquisition

RIPON, Wis. — Alliance Laundry Systems was recently honored with a 2013 Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year award in the special award category for “Investing Locally, Growing Globally,” the company reports.

Alliance CFO Bruce Rounds accepted the award at a banquet in Milwaukee. This is the second consecutive year the company has been honored by the program, last year winning a special award for “Market Leadership.”

“We are delighted to have been honored again by the Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Award program. This is truly a testament to the hard work that each of our employees puts in every day,” says Alliance CEO and President Mike Schoeb.

Alliance completed a major $23 million plant expansion in September, and late last year announced a second expansion of its manufacturing and assembly facilities in Ripon.

The company also continues to expand its global reach, recently completing the acquisition of Primus Laundry Equipment Group. The Gullegem, Belgium-based company markets commercial washer-extractors, tumbler dryers, ironers, and feeding and folding equipment under the Primus, Lavamac and Deli brands.

“This is a very exciting development for the Primus Group which opens up many new opportunities for our company and our distribution partners,” says Primus CEO Eddy Coppieters. “We are pleased to join the Alliance family, and we look forward to our continued success as we work together to execute on potential synergies and drive global growth.”

BMO Capital Markets acted as exclusive financial adviser to Alliance on the transaction, according to the company.
