Main Street Laundry Enters New Year with Plans for Expansion

BOARDMAN, Ore. — Though only a year old, Main Street Laundry is outpacing projections, and owner Don Russell and partner Steve Doherty have made plans to expand the coin laundry, reports equipment distributor Western State Design (WSD).

Russell had considered adding a Laundromat to a car wash he had opened nearly 12 years ago on Main Street, but decided against it because the small town of 3,500 already had one, according to WSD. When that laundry shut down and residents had to travel 25 miles to the next closest coin laundry, he revisited the idea.

COOS BAY, Ore. — Lightning never strikes the same place twice, as the old saying goes, but for Case Harris, owner of the Laundromat chain Green Lightning Laundry, success not only struck twice, but four times. Harris recently opened his fourth location along the central Oregon coast, according to laundry equipment distributor Western State Design (WSD).

Brain Wash Café and Laundromat Serves Up New Equipment

SAN FRANCISCO — Brain Wash Café and Laundromat is no stranger to the San Francisco scene, or to the global community.

Opened in 1989, the Laundromat was once touted as “the most unusual Internet café in the world” by Yahoo!, says laundry equipment distributor Western State Design.

It has made appearances on film and TV, and has garnered a “big international following,” according to owner Jeffrey Zalles. Anyone can check out the store’s happenings on its website through various webcams set up around the café and Laundromat.

Three years ago, following the success of his online ticketing website, Tickex, Brinderson launched a new career path and purchased, revamped and opened the first of what would soon become his seven Southern California coin-operated Laundromats.

With her business savvy and knowledge of the laundry industry, Li decided to leave her job in finance to manage Lily Laundromat with her husband, Sebastian Neo.

Dry Cleaner Can Create ‘One-Stop Shop’ by Adding Coin Laundry (Conclusion)

SPRING HILL, Fla. — A successful dry cleaning business can provide you with solid profits, but what if you’re looking to take your business to the next level? Adding a coin-operated Laundromat may not be the first idea that comes to mind, but there are many reasons it should.

Mike Cowart opened BEST Cleaners & Laundry here in 2007. It’s the only dual dry cleaning plant and coin laundry operation in the community of 100,000 residents. It’s been so successful that Cowart recently added a second location.
