StatShot: Sales Streak Continues; Average Front-Loader Price Lowest in South

CHICAGO — Year-over-year coin laundry sales in the South were up 10.6% on average last month, the highest among all regions, according to results of this month’s American Coin-Op StatShot survey.

Store owners in the West also reported strong November year-over-year sales, up 9.3% on average.

In the Northeast, year-over-year coin laundry sales were reported to be up 6.9%. The Midwest region also saw better comparative sales in November, up 2.8%.

StatShot: October Extends Streak of Higher Year-Over-Year Coin Laundry Sales

CHICAGO — Year-over-year coin laundry sales for the month of October were up across the country, on average, according to results from this month’s American Coin-Op StatShot survey.

Leading the way was the South, where sales were reported to have been up 6.5%. Not far behind was the West, where October sales were reported 5.0% higher than those of October 2014.

Store owners in the Northeast and the Midwest also posted increases in October year-over-year sales, up 3.0% and 2.8%, respectively.

StatShot: Coin Laundry Sales Up Across Country in September, Third Quarter

CHICAGO — September year-over-year sales for coin laundry operators were higher, on average, across the country, according to the results of this month’s American Coin-Op StatShot survey.

With the country divided into four regions, the South posted the largest gain for the month, 8.7%, when compared to sales for September 2014. In the Midwest, September 2015 sales were 6.4% higher than those of September 2014.

Better August Sales, First-Half Profits Reported Across All Regions: Survey

CHICAGO — August year-over-year sales for coin laundry operators in the South was up 9.9% on average, the largest increase reported among all regions, according to results of this month’s American Coin-Op StatShot survey. While that may seem extreme, operators in the Midwest tallied a 9.1% average increase, according to the unscientific poll.

“Business was much improved this summer,” writes one respondent from the South. “We had a lot of new customers, and as a result are putting in new and larger machines.”

Survey: July Sales Up in All Regions; South Reports Highest Utilities Cost

CHICAGO — Though summer is winding down, vended laundry sales for operators across all regions continue to heat up. Midwest operators posted the strongest average increase in July year-over-year sales in the country, up 10.8%, according to results of this month’s American Coin-Op StatShot survey.

Operators in the South and Northeast posted similar year-over-year sales gains last month, up an average of 5.8% and 4.0%, respectively. Operators in the West posted only a slight increase in sales, up an average of 1.8%.

Survey: Sales in June, Second Quarter Heat Up in South

CHICAGO — Coin laundry store owners and operators from the South saw sales heat up for the beginning of the summer season, collectively posting a 9.5% increase in June year-over-year sales, according to results of this month’s American Coin-Op StatShot survey.

Operators from the West also saw a boost in June year-over-year sales, up an average of 4.6%, while Northeast operators posted a 1.7% average increase.

Midwest operators reported no changes in their June year-over-year sales, on average.

Survey: May Coin Laundry Sales Blossom for Midwest Operators

CHICAGO — Coin laundry operators across all regions saw sales bloom in May, with operators in the Midwest seeing year-over-year sales increase an average of 4.0%—the highest among all regions—according to results in this month’s American Coin-Op StatShot survey.

Operators in the South and Northeast saw similar year-over-year sales gains last month, up averages of 3.4% and 3.3%, respectively, while operators in the West saw sales bump up an average of 2.0% from May 2014.

Survey: April Coin Laundry Sales Sprout for All Regions

CHICAGO — Operators from the West were showered with healthy sales gains last month, up an average of 15% over April 2014—the strongest sales gain among all regions—according to results in this month’s American Coin-Op StatShot survey.

“New commercial construction keeps us busy,” says one Western operator.

“[It’s] still a down economy overall, but the store itself is doing better because now it is attended and clean,” says another.

Survey: South Leads in March Year-Over-Year Sales Gains

CHICAGO — Vended laundry operators from the South posted the strongest year-over-year sales gains in March (up an average of 7.1%), compared to other regions, according to results of this month’s American Coin-Op StatShot survey.

Trailing right behind them were operators from the West, who posted an average 5.9% sales increase when compared to March 2014. Northeast and Midwest operators also reported sales gains, up 3.8% and 2.5%, on average, respectively.

Survey: South Leads Pack in February Year-Over-Year Sales

CHICAGO — Operators in the South had a sweet February, as year-over-year sales in the region last month were up an average of 10.7%, according to results of this month’s American Coin-Op StatShot survey.

Operators from the Northeast (up average of 6%) and West (up average of 4%) also reported healthy February year-over-year sales.

“We are in a technology boom with a new Google infrastructure adding new jobs,” says one operator in the West.

Midwest operators were the only ones to see a decline in February sales, down an average of 0.5%.
