Social Media a Must

NEW ORLEANS — Every Laundromat needs to be using social media. That’s the message from The Coin Laundry Association, and with more than 500 social media outlets, one will fit everyone’s needs. With more than 6 million mobile subscribers worldwide, searches have quadrupled in a single year, according to CLA’s Jamie Sewell.

CLA Hosts Panel of Internet Marketing Success Stories

NEW ORLEANS — How can coin laundry store owners capitalize on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter? Coin Laundry Association (CLA) touched upon this subject during Clean 2013 in an educational session titled Internet Marketing Success Stories of Coin Laundries.

The session hosted a panel of coin laundry owners including Tyler Blair, owner of The Washboard in San Diego, Calif.; Deborah Dower, owner of Paradise Laundries in Northern California; and Duane King, owner of LMARIES Laundromat in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Clean Show 2013 is Here!

NEW ORLEANS — All the preparation work has been completed, and it’s time for the 2013 Clean Show—officially the World Educational Congress for Laundering and Drycleaning—to open here this morning at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The exhibition ends Saturday.

This year’s event is expected to draw 10,000 trade attendees over the three days, according to Riddle & Associates, the show’s longtime manager.
