Laundrylux Appoints Roth CFO

INWOOD, N.Y. — Laundry equipment distributor Laundrylux has appointed Joanne T. Roth its new chief financial officer, the company reports.

Roth joins the Laundrylux team as a CPA with a financial background spanning three decades, including work in financial management, budgeting, human resources and risk management, the company says.

“[Roth’s] vast private sector financial experience and outstanding leadership skills make her a brilliant addition to our executive team,” says John Sabino, Laundrylux chief operating officer.

Important Healthcare Insurance Notification Deadline Coming Next Week

CHICAGO — Employers covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act are mandated to provide notice to employees of coverage options from the new Health Insurance Marketplace under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Employers have a deadline of Tuesday, Oct. 1, to provide this notice to current employees “and to each new employee at the time of hire beginning Oct. 1, regardless of plan enrollment status (if applicable) or of part-time or full-time status,” according to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

Laundrylux Offers Disaster Recovery Assistance to Colorado Coin-Ops

INWOOD, N.Y. — Laundry equipment distributor Laundrylux is offering a disaster recovery program to Colorado self-service laundry owners whose stores have been impacted by flood damage in recent days, the company reports.

Laundrylux says that the program includes no payments and no interest for up to 120 days, plus low fixed interest rates, and that it will “waive all fees” to help laundry-owner customers rebuild their businesses.

Dexter Launches ‘New and Expanded’ Website

FAIRFIELD, Iowa — Dexter Laundry has launched a “new and expanded” website, featuring an “updated look” and “comprehensive product information” about the manufacturer’s commercial and on-premise laundry equipment, the company says.

Product information, specifications and artwork are available for end-users, distributors, new investors and repair technicians, while potential laundry owners can find “detailed articles on how to invest in coin laundry and on-premise laundry solutions.”

CSC ServiceWorks Creates Partnership with Continental Laundry Systems

PLAINVIEW, N.Y. –– CSC ServiceWorks (CSC), comprised of Coinmach, multi-family laundry service provider, and AIR-serv, pay air services provider for automobile tire inflation, has recently announced its acquisition of Pittsburgh-based laundry route operator Continental Laundry Systems.

The acquisition is the ninth the company has completed within the last 12 months and “marks a milestone for CSC as they now provide service for over one million machines throughout the United States, Canada and Europe,” according to CSC.

Maytag Welcomes Newcomers to its Workforce

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. — There have been some personnel moves at Maytag® Commercial Laundry recently, including the addition of Nick Ubago to its international sales team, the company reports.

Ubago will be responsible for the company’s U.S.-based export accounts, as well as its Caribbean and Central and South American customers.

Fluent in both Spanish and English, he previously worked for a global commercial laundry equipment manufacturer, as well as a household appliance maker, the company adds.
