Dexter Launches ‘New and Expanded’ Website

FAIRFIELD, Iowa — Dexter Laundry has launched a “new and expanded” website, featuring an “updated look” and “comprehensive product information” about the manufacturer’s commercial and on-premise laundry equipment, the company says.

Product information, specifications and artwork are available for end-users, distributors, new investors and repair technicians, while potential laundry owners can find “detailed articles on how to invest in coin laundry and on-premise laundry solutions.”

CSC ServiceWorks Creates Partnership with Continental Laundry Systems

PLAINVIEW, N.Y. –– CSC ServiceWorks (CSC), comprised of Coinmach, multi-family laundry service provider, and AIR-serv, pay air services provider for automobile tire inflation, has recently announced its acquisition of Pittsburgh-based laundry route operator Continental Laundry Systems.

The acquisition is the ninth the company has completed within the last 12 months and “marks a milestone for CSC as they now provide service for over one million machines throughout the United States, Canada and Europe,” according to CSC.

Maytag Welcomes Newcomers to its Workforce

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. — There have been some personnel moves at Maytag® Commercial Laundry recently, including the addition of Nick Ubago to its international sales team, the company reports.

Ubago will be responsible for the company’s U.S.-based export accounts, as well as its Caribbean and Central and South American customers.

Fluent in both Spanish and English, he previously worked for a global commercial laundry equipment manufacturer, as well as a household appliance maker, the company adds.

TheROCK Supplies Free Wash/Dry Through ‘Laundry Project’

LONG BEACH, Calif. — “When we’re in challenging economic times … people have to make choices,” says Gregory Sanders, senior pastor at TheROCK Christian Fellowship in Long Beach, Calif. “Laundry does have a tendency of being kind of the last thing on the priority list.”

Switch to Dollar Coin Could Save Billions: Study

WASHINGTON — A recent economic study by Aaron Klein, former chief economist for the Senate Banking Committee and deputy assistant secretary of the U.S. Treasury, estimates the savings to American taxpayers of modernizing U.S. currency from the dollar note to the dollar coin at $13.8 billion over 30 years.

Klein released his analysis, titled Time For Change: Modernizing to the Dollar Coin Saves Taxpayers Billions, at a Congressional briefing featuring Sen. John McCain, and hosted by the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW) and the Dollar Coin Alliance.
