NIE Insurance Program Expands to 48 States

ST. LOUIS — John L. Corley Inc. is expanding its NIE Insurance program to serve coin laundries and dry cleaners in 14 additional states, bringing the total number of states served to 48, the company says.

Corley can now offer this insurance coverage through a new appointment with The Hartford, which reports that it insures more than 1 million small businesses.

“This is good news for dry cleaners and coin laundries across the country,” says Greg Mouldon, Corley’s president. “We are proud to work with The Hartford. They are a leader in small-business insurance.”

Alliance Laundry Holdings Reports Increase in 2014 Net Revenues

RIPON, Wis. — Alliance Laundry Holdings LLC reports its net revenues for the full year 2014 increased by $169.7 million (or 30.5%) to $726.3 million, up from $556.6 million for the full year 2013.

Excluding the impact of the Primus Laundry Equipment Group acquisition—which the company fully acquired last spring—net revenues increased 12.1% for 2014.

Electrolux, Laundrylux Celebrate 60-Year Partnership

INWOOD, N.Y. — Keith McLoughlin, president and CEO of Electrolux, recently presented Neal Milch, CEO of Laundrylux, with a crystal award in celebration of the companies’ 60 years of partnership.

The award presentation was held at a special ceremony in Sweden, according to Laundrylux.

Educational Sessions Open to All Clean Show Attendees

ATLANTA — Between visits to the Clean Show’s extensive exhibit floor, those attending the April 16-19 event will have the opportunity to attend educational sessions targeting the unique issues of their industry segments, as well as some broader general sessions that offer strategies on improving operations, engaging workers and increasing business, among others.

Access to the educational sessions is included in conference registration, and is not dependent on association affiliation.

Alliance Laundry’s Customer Service Program Earns Honor

RIPON, Wis. — Commercial laundry equipment manufacturer Alliance Laundry Systems recently earned a Silver Stevie® Award in the ninth annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service, the company reports.

Alliance was recognized for the recent achievements of its customer service program, Customer One, receiving silver accolades in the “Customer Service Department of the Year — all other industries” category. It was one of 12 international companies nominated.

SBA Introduces New Online Lending Tool

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has launched a new online tool that connects entrepreneurs looking for a small-business loan with a SBA-approved lender.

The new, free online tool, called LINC (Leveraging Information and Networks to access Capital) will have small-business owners fill out an online form of 20 questions and connect them with lenders within 48 hours, according to SBA.

After filling out the form, a borrower’s answers will be sent to every lender in their county, as well as to other lenders with a regional or national reach.

USA Technologies Implements Support for Apple Pay Mobile Payments

MALVERN, Pa. — Wireless, cashless payment systems manufacturer USA Technologies (USAT) has implemented a nationwide rollout of new acceptance points for Apple Inc.’s Apple Pay mobile payment system, USAT reports.

The move adds approximately 200,000 acceptance points to the “growing list” of locations supporting Apple Pay, bringing the mobile payment service to owners and operators of vended laundry equipment, among other self-serve appliances.
