Inaugural Taylor Houseman Profit Symposium Draws 40

PITTSBURG, Calif. — Laundry equipment distributor Taylor Houseman Inc.’s recent Profit Symposium engaged approximately 40 Northern California vended laundry owners and investors, according to Randy Houseman, owner of Taylor Houseman.

During the Symposium, which focused on helping vended laundries improve profits and revenue, several laundry industry experts shared experiences, ideas and tips. The event also featured specials on equipment, parts and financing.

Marietta Laundromat First in SE to Use Near-Waterless Washer, Manufacturer Says

MANCHESTER, N.H. — 4 Minute Laundry, Marietta, Ga., is the first Laundromat in the Southeast to use an environmentally friendly, ultra-low water laundry system marketed by Xeros, the manufacturer reports.

The laundry has been using the near-waterless system for its wash/dry/fold, commercial laundry services, residential and commercial pickup services, as well as making it available to walk-in customers, Xeros says.

OAKLAND, Calif. — Too Small to Fail, in partnership with the Coin Laundry Association (CLA), the Laundry Project and others, have launched “Wash Time is Talk Time,” part of the 2015 Clinton Global Initiative Commitment to Action and aiming to reach parents in underserved communities nationwide.

Other partners in the launch were Jumpstart, First 5 Alameda County, University of Arkansas, and Encore.org.
