N.S. Farrington & Co. Acquires Fuller Supply Co.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — N.S. Farrington & Co. Inc. reports that it has acquired the business assets of Fuller Supply Co. Inc., Concord, N.C. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Founded in 1951, N.S. Farrington is a wholesale distributor of industrial laundry and drycleaning supplies serving North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Georgia. The company says it prides itself on its “comprehensive in-stock product lines and a customer-first focus.”

Electrolux Appoints New CFO, Executive VP

STOCKHOLM — AB Electrolux reports that it has appointed Anna Ohlsson-Leijon, chief financial officer of the business area Major Appliances Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), as the company’s new CFO, and appointed Ola Nilsson, head of the laundry product line within Major Appliances EMEA, as new head of the Small Appliances business area and an executive vice president.

Ohlsson-Leijon succeeds Tomas Eliasson, who is leaving the company to pursue an external opportunity. Nilsson succeeds Henrik Bergström, who will work on special assignment reporting to the CEO.

Motivational Speaker Shepard to Keynote SDA Cleaners Showcase

FORT WORTH, Texas — Motivational speaker Glenn Shepard will present the keynote address during the Southwest Drycleaners Association’s (SDA) Cleaners Showcase 2016 here at the city’s convention center on April 22-24.

Shepard is considered one of the foremost authorities on eliminating problems in the workplace, the SDA reports. He has published six books worldwide, including a national best-seller, How to Be the Employee Your Company Can’t Live Without.

Clean Show Management Relocates to New Offices

ATLANTA — The Clean Show, and its management company Riddle & Associates, have moved to new offices here.

Their new address is 2751 Buford Highway, Suite 100, Atlanta, GA 30324.

While the main phone number—404-876-1988—remains the same, the fax number is new: 404-968-9800.

Distributor Belenky Expands Vended Laundry Offerings as IPSO Dealer

AKRON, Ohio — Laundry equipment distributor Belenky Inc. was recently added to the IPSO distributor network, the company reports. As as IPSO dealer, Belenky will offer an extensive line of vended and on-premises washers and dryers to customers in a territory that encompasses northern Ohio north of I-70.

Belenky has had a long history of success with other Alliance brands, including Huebsch, UniMac and Speed Queen, says Rob Minster, president of the distributorship.

R&B Wire Products Marks 70th Anniversary

SANTA ANA, Calif. — R&B Wire Products, a manufacturer of laundry carts, is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, the company reports.

The self-service laundry industry was in its infancy when RB Company started in 1946. World War II had ended, and the ingenuity of product design and development shifted from the war effort to practical products that improve the lives of everyday Americans. R&B set about filling the need for a handy cart to transport laundry from washers to dryers.

Classic Laundromats Awarded $100,000 Economic Development Loan

HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Cumberland Area Economic Development Corp. has been awarded a low-interest loan on behalf of Classic Drycleaners and Laundromats for the latter to buy and install new laundry equipment in three of its nine locations, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED).
