WashClub NYC on ‘Trak’ with Company Rollout

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Laundry and drycleaning services provider WashClub NYC reports it has recently debuted its services in Washington, D.C., through its recently developed WashClubTrak software licensing program.

WashClubTrak allows local vended laundry and drycleaning operators to become WashClub licensees, according to WashClub NYC founder Rick Rome.

Setomatic’s Schantz Undertakes New Role for Company

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — Setomatic Systems – SpyderWash has promoted Gregg Schantz to director of sales and operations, the company reports.

Since joining the company full-time in 2013, Schantz has helped support SpyderWash distributors throughout the country and has “played an important role” in increasing its distributor base, according to the company.

In his new position, Schantz will continue to support the company’s distributors and customers, while taking on more responsibilities as the company expands.

Whirlpool to Acquire American Dryer Corp. (ADC)

BENTON HARBOR, Mich., and FALL RIVER, Mass. — Whirlpool Corp. has entered into an agreement to acquire American Dryer Corp. (ADC), a privately held manufacturer of coin-operated, on-premise, industrial and specialty laundry equipment, it was announced Monday afternoon.

Whirlpool brand Maytag Commercial Laundry and ADC each made the announcement via separate press releases.

Terms of the planned transaction will not be disclosed, the companies say.

Whirlpool says the planned acquisition gives its commercial laundry business a platform to reach new markets and channels.

Laundrylux Appoints Equipment Marketers as Authorized Distributor

Speed Queen Honors PWS as 2014 Distributor of Year

RIPON, Wis. — Commercial laundry equipment manufacturer Speed Queen has recognized California-based PWS – The Laundry Company as its 2014 Distributor of the Year.

Co-owners Brad Pollack, a second-generation distributor, and Brad Steinberg, a third-generation distributor, accepted the award for “outstanding sales achievement, customer service and professionalism” on behalf of the company.

Seaga Welcomes New Latin America Sales Director

FREEPORT, Ill. — Vending equipment manufacturer Seaga Manufacturing has welcomed Martin Castillo of Mexico City as its new Latin America sales director.

Castillo has 20 years of experience in the vending industry, including full-line, compact and post-mix equipment, and is considered a “welcome addition” by the company in its growth in the Latin America market.

CSC ServiceWorks Forges Partnership with Pride Laundry Systems

PLAINVIEW, N.Y. — North Hills, Calif.-based Pride Laundry Systems has merged with CSC ServiceWorks, provider of multi-family housing and commercial laundry equipment, the company reports.

Mark Goodman, president and owner of Pride Laundry Systems, will join CSC ServiceWorks as part of the deal.

He will undertake a senior management role to further build out CSC ServiceWorks’ on-premise laundry division on a national basis, according to CEO Robert M. Doyle.

PWS Co-Presidents Conclude Buyout of Company’s Stock Holdings

LOS ANGELES — Brad Steinberg and Brad Pollack, co-presidents of commercial laundry equipment and parts distributorship PWS Inc., have concluded the buyout of the corporate stock holdings of Eric Steinberg and Mort Pollack, respectively, becoming the sole shareholders/owners of PWS, the company reports.

The transaction was finalized on March 1. Brad Steinberg and Brad Pollack, who have led the company in the last decade, intend to “focus on customer support functionality with the goal of improved profitability for Laundromat owners throughout California and Nevada.”
